Artis Orthotics is the only fully mobile orthotic treatment services provider on Vancouver Island. We offer our services at the same cost you would pay to travel to another orthotic treatment provider, all in the comfort of your home or local community.
At Artis Orthotics, we believe that your care benefits when your healthcare team works together. We work directly with your primary healthcare provider and allied healthcare team to ensure any orthotic treatment we provide is right for you. Whether it’s for a one-time treatment or to address a long-term concern, we are here to help.
Contact us directly or have your primary healthcare provider send us your referral. Unsure if orthotic treatment is right for you? Book a brief chat with one of our certified clinicians to learn more.
A certified clinician performs a comprehensive 30-minute physical assessment at your chosen location and makes treatment recommendations tailored to you.
If you choose to proceed, we create a personalized treatment plan and collect the information required to either fabricate your orthotic device in-house, or order it from one of our trusted suppliers.
We return to fit your orthotic device and discuss next steps. You’ll learn how to use and care for your device, and about the important role you play in the success of your treatment.
Moving forward, we are there to support you with in-person and virtual follow-up appointments as needed. Depending on the treatment, we may also schedule maintenance check-ins to ensure your device continues to function as intended.
An orthosis is a device or brace used to correct alignment, provide support, and enable function. This includes custom-fit and custom-made solutions such as knee braces, foot orthoses, spinal braces, and wrist hand braces to name a few. From plantar fasciitis to knee arthritis, wrist fractures to scoliosis, if your function or alignment has been impacted by a diagnosis, you may benefit from orthotic treatment.

Yes, before proceeding with an orthotic treatment, we require that you first obtain a prescription from a qualified healthcare professional such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or physiotherapist.
At your scheduled appointment time our certified Orthotist will meet you at a preselected location. This could be your home, local hospital, or even the office of another healthcare provider involved in your care. We work with you and your team to ensure your orthotic treatment is efficient and convenient.

At Artis Orthotics we believe in transparent billing. Your initial home visit, assessment, and consultation is provided for a flat fee of $80. Once this process is complete, you will receive a comprehensive quote for the treatment that applies to you based on fee guides issued by the Prosthetics and Orthotics Association of British Columbia (POABC). For more information on this, please contact us at +1 (250) 716-2539.
In some cases, your orthotic treatment can be billed directly to a third-party payer such as ICBC, WSBC, FNHA, or Pharmacare. In other cases, such as if you intend to claim your orthotic treatment through a personal extended health plan, you may be expected to cover the cost of your treatment yourself. For more information how the cost of your treatment can be covered, please call us at +1 (250) 716-2539.
While this is decided on a case-by-case basis, appointments cancelled within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time and all no-shows will typically result in a $40 fee that must be paid before future appointments can be scheduled.
Artis Orthotics brings advanced orthotic care directly to your doorstep. Enjoy a seamless process from assessment to follow-up, designed to restore your mobility and improve your quality of life.
